The public services sector plays an important role in all countries, providing services to citizens that support the well-being and prosperity of individuals and communities. Despite the growing calls and interest, the public sector in general still lags behind in adopting and implementing new innovation manangement methods (de Lancer Julnes, 2015:13; de Vries et al., 2016:148; Demircioglu & Audretsch 2016:1, OECD, 2017a:28).
This study aims to explore how service design, based on the theoretical framework of PSL, can improve the management of innovation in the public service sector.
The research context of this dissertation is Finnish public health services.
Research method: qualitative research - interviews.
